Independent Minds exists to recognize and support independent thinking.We are a small, independently run project made up of people from diverse professional and personal backgrounds who share a common belief: clear, original thought matters, and it is too often overlooked by traditional systems.For years, we’ve watched thoughtful ideas get filtered out not because they lacked substance, but because they didn’t fit neatly into institutional, academic, or professional frameworks. Independent Minds was created to offer an alternative — a place where ideas are evaluated on their merit rather than credentials, titles, or affiliations.Our participation events are intentionally simple by design. We publish a prompt, invite original submissions, and evaluate them using transparent, skill-based criteria. There are no sponsors influencing outcomes, no external investors dictating direction, and no hidden agendas. Each event is administered independently and funded directly through participation access.We believe independent thinking comes from many places. Some participants are professionals. Some are students. Some are writers, analysts, creators, or simply people who think deeply about the world. Background, education level, and career path are not part of our evaluation process.Independent Minds is not about promoting a particular viewpoint or ideology.
